Day 1: NEGOMBO - SIGIRIYA

Depart early in the morning for Sigiriya, with a visit to a roof tile factory and a pineapple plantation. Then head to the famous Pinawella Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary for elephants. Visitors have the chance to watch and even help feed the baby elephants using large bottles, before they make their way to the river for their daily bath. In the afternoon, explore the Sigiriya Fortress, the ancient royal palace of King Kassyappa (477-495 A.D). Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 2: SIGIRIYA - ANURADHAPURA

After breakfast, depart for Anuradhapura, enjoying a scenic drive through quaint towns, rural villages, and coconut groves, allowing you to experience the lush greenery of the countryside. Along the way, take a break to sample refreshing king coconut juice, freshly cut pineapple, mangoes, and other tropical fruits. Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the largest of Sri Lanka’s ancient cities. It served as the national capital for over 1,300 years until the 10th century AD. Today, the city’s monuments stand in peaceful surroundings, amidst ancient trees and parkland. During your visit, you will explore the Archaeological Museum, the sacred Bo Tree, the Brazen Palace, the Royal Palace, the Samadhi Buddha, Kuttam Pokuna, and more. Return to Sigiriya for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: SIGIRIYA - POLONARUWA

After breakfast, depart for Polonnaruwa Ancient City, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Once the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to 13th centuries, Polonnaruwa is home to remarkable statues, palaces, and walkways set within a lush forest, often visited by local wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to Minneriya National Park before returning to your hotel in Sigiriya for the night.

Day 4 & 5 : POLONARUWA - KANDY

After a morning elephant ride through the jungle, continue your journey to Kandy, making stops along the way to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a batik factory, and a spice garden in Matale. Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth and enjoy a traditional cultural dance performance in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Kandy.

The following day, embark on a city tour of Kandy, including visits to the Gadaladeniya Temple, the Ambake Temple, and the Lanka Thilake Temple just outside the city. In the afternoon, explore the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens before relaxing at your hotel in the evening, followed by dinner.

Day 6 & 7: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA

After breakfast, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens before departing for Nuwara Eliya. Known for its cool climate, Nuwara Eliya offers a refreshing atmosphere, often resembling an English spring day, though temperatures can drop at night. The town showcases strong British influence, with buildings resembling country cottages or Queen Anne-style mansions. On the way, stop at a Sri Lankan tea plantation and visit a working tea factory, where you can also try your hand at plucking tea leaves. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

The following day, visit Horton Plains National Park, and in the afternoon, take a leisurely walk around Gregory Lake followed by a city tour of Nuwara Eliya. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: NUWARA ELIYA – ELLA

After breakfast, you have the option to take a scenic train ride to Ella. This picturesque journey passes through lush tea plantations and offers stunning views of Sri Lanka`s countryside. Our driver will drop you off at the Nuwara Eliya train station and pick you up at the Ella train station. Upon arrival in Ella, check in to your hotel and then either climb Little Adam`s Peak, explore Rama`s Cave, or relax by one of the beautiful waterfalls in the area. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Ella.

Day 9: ELLA - TISSAMAHARAMA

Continue your journey to Tissamaharama, making a stop to visit the Buduruwagala Buddha Statue, a towering statue along the way. Depending on the time, enjoy either a morning or afternoon safari in Yala National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Tissamaharama.

Day 10: YALA - NEGOMBO

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Negombo along the scenic southern coastal route. Along the way, visit the Dondra Lighthouse, the blowhole at Dickwella, the Weligama fishing village, and the turtle hatchery in Unawatuna. The tour concludes upon arrival in Negombo.
